My approach to therapy

My work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mainly influenced by the new evidence based approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In a nutshell, my approach to therapy is centered in helping you to address your challenges while keeping your focus on living a meaningful life. Other evidence-based approaches that I use are the following: Behavioral Activation, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

When working with couples, my approach is informed by the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy.

My style is collaborative, warm, compassionate and respectful of diversity. I rely on active listening to facilitate a collaborative relationship that allow us to explore what is keeping you away from the life you want to live. I also cultivate a caring and respectful approach to help you overcome the barriers that keep you away from achieving your goals.
